ESOL075N: Grammar for Writing V

This is an intermediate course designed to give students instruction in grammar to improve written English. The course will focus on helping students to notice the gap between their current language skills and correct English. A variety of grammar structures, especially related to grammar problems that are most common in writing, will be discussed. This course will cover areas of difficulty in grammar such as: nouns; articles; pronouns and possessive adjectives; verb tense review; problems with verbs; subject-verb agreement, prepositions; word forms; adjectives; modals; gerunds and infinitives. Credits do not count toward degree requirements.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of ESOL074N or recommendation of the Department Chair.
